Whether you’re a full-fledged beef lover or just in the mood for a little steak, we’ve got you covered with our list of Sydney’s best steaks.
If you’re after the full five-star experience, Rockpool Bar & Grill is the address to beat: a striking room, formidable wine list, service that sparkles and a range of top-quality dry-aged, grain- and grass-fed steaks that rank among the nation’s finest. Heavy-duty beef lovers will also feel right at home at Prime. From its lair-like basement surrounds to the 18-steak menu, this is a restaurant that takes its beef very seriously. Porteño isn’t a steakhouse exactly, but its Argentine lineage gives it a claim in matters meat. The steak frites in town to beat is that served at Felix, with plenty of good French red to boot, and though Jeremy Strode at Bistrode CBD is better known for his offal dishes, his work with prime cuts (pictured above) is also textbook in its polish. Those willing to go on a mission for their meat should head to Graze, up past Scone, where the steaks are well worth the road trip.
