After three years and $645 million of construction, Crown Towers Perth is open. Expect a lavish spa experience, an extravagant pool and spacious rooms.
The new Crown Towers Perth is a big hotel by any standard. The $645 million investment. The 500 rooms spread across 23 storeys. The two-level porte-cochère that channels guests into separate pick-up and drop-off points. Even entry-level guestrooms are a spacious 47 square metres.

But it’s the small details as much as the big vision that matter to Crown Perth’s executive general manager, Andrew Cairns. “It’s the next incarnation of Crown Towers,” he says. “This is the next level. We understand the size of the property, but it’s also about creating very intimate spaces. It’s all about the detail.”
After three years of construction, Crown Towers Perth opened this month alongside its two smaller sibling hotels in Burswood. The grandest of Crown’s six hotels in Perth and Melbourne, its lavish details include two chandeliers in the lobby, each hung with 20,000 glass beads, and a ceramic installation inspired by a topographical view of the Swan River by Margaret River artist Ian Dowling.
Crown Spa reception.
While Crown Towers in Melbourne is all about urban luxury, the Perth outpost celebrates Western Australia’s coastal lifestyle, not least in its oversized pool zone: an outdoor oasis comprising eight cleverly terraced pools and private cabanas.
Guestrooms are styled in soothing neutral tones and equipped with coffee machines and televisions that sync with guests’ devices. Handsome bathrooms have rain showers, double vanities and stone composite baths. The luxe factor and views (of the city, the WACA and Gloucester Park across the river) escalate with height and room type, topped by the Chairman’s Villa with a price tag of $21,000 a night.

The hotel’s design team includes Melbourne firm Bates Smart and Singapore interior architect Michael Fiebrich. Sydney designer Blainey North is responsible for the opulent look of the 15th-floor Crystal Club lounge and the calm atmosphere of Crown Spa. Inspired by Roman bathhouses, it’s a labyrinth of white and blue with treatment and steam rooms. Rooms from $338.
