Hellenika’s Ari Onassis cocktail

Named after Greece's larger-than-life tycoon, Aristotle Onassis, this gin cocktail is equal parts refreshing and sweet.

“This is a beautifully refreshing summer cocktail. It really is the perfect combination of old-school and innovation,” says Gloftis.

Ingredients

60 ml Mastiha liqueur

30 ml St Germain Elderflower liqueur

30 ml Hendrick's gin

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 cucumber sticks, to garnish

Ice cubes, to shake

Method

1.Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice; shake until well combined and chilled. Double strain into a coupe or martini glass and serve with fresh cucumber sticks. Makes 100ml.

Mastiha (or mastika) is a sweet pine-scented Greek liqueur made by distilling the resin from the mastic tree, native to Chios.
