Swedish fashion giant H&M opens on Pitt Street Mall in Sydney’s CBD on Saturday, and the retailer will be bringing more than boyfriend jeans and maxi skirts – it’s débuting the H&M Home collection.
The range features striking copper candle shades, pastel-hued glassware and graphic black and white table-runners alongside linen and napery in breezy summer colours such as sky blue and turquoise. The Home collection is exclusive in Australia to the Pitt Street Mall and Melbourne GPO stores.
The flagship store, H&M’s seventh in Australia, is in Pitt Street’s Glasshouse centre, and spans 5,000 square metres across three floors. Along with the new Home collection, it will stock womenswear, menswear, children and sport collections.
It opens to the public on Saturday at 10am, but will be christened with a launch party this evening, with Solange Knowles spinning tunes, Mumm Champagne flowing and a 60-metre red carpet running through Pitt Street Mall.
The retailer is staying tight-lipped on whether or not Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain for H&M collection will make it to the new Sydney store, but, regardless, you can expect some pretty impressive queues.
